    2 C. cornmeal (I use white cornmeal)
    1 t. soda
    1 t. salt
    2 eggs beaten
    2 C. buttermilk
    Put a couple of teaspoons fried bacon grease in a cast iron skillet. Put in hot (450) oven until very hot.
    Combine ingredients adding buttermilk last.
    Pour batter into hot skillet, and bake 25 minutes or until bread is golden brown. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
